DAAD grants follow-up project funding for two more years.
13.03.2018
We’re happy to announce that the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) has granted our project follow-up funding for two more years until the end of 2020. Along with 11 out of 24 other comparable thematic networks, the DAAD reclassified our Bayreuth‑Melbourne Polymer/Colloid Network, its work and international cooperation on the basis of a positive assessment, concluding that it should remain eligible for funding.
Time to celebrate!
The Bayreuth‑Melbourne Polymer/Colloid Network links the University of Bayreuth to several outstanding Australian and German Universities and research institutions in the field of polymer and colloid science. Supported by the funding from the DAAD, the network encourages outstanding German (early-career) researchers to position themselves at the forefront of the international research sector. It motivates excellent Australian PhDs and post-docs to study, work and conduct their research both at their partner universities abroad and with German supervisors at our network universities and partner institutes. Joint research projects, the exchange of researchers, scientific workshops and conference talks not only strengthen the scientific profile of our members but also provide a platform for comprehensive networking open to all participants.
With its strategic partnerships, the network contributes to strengthening the University of Bayreuth’s strong international profile.
