The ACIS 2019 & Workshop Week in Melbourne
February 3rd - 7th 2019 and February 11th - 15th 2019Hobart, Australia and Melbourne
Save the date for two big events at which our network will be present in February of next year:
- The 9th Australian Colloid and Interface Symposium (ACIS): 3 – 7 February 2019 in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia
- A subsequent Workshop Week in Melbourne: 11th-15th February 2019

The ACIS conference themes are:
- Soft Material Engineering in Foods, Consumer Care Products and Pharmaceuticals
- Colloids in Medicine
- Colloidal systems of graphene and 2D materials
- Scattering in Colloid and Interface Science
- Nanoparticles: Colloidal Stability, Self-assembly and Interactions with Light
- Mechanics of Suspensions, Gels, Emulsions and Foams: Fundamentals and Applications from Micro to Macro
A large tournout of network members and Prof. Dr. Tobias Kraus as an invited keynote speaker may help our network to achieve great visibility at the ACIS 2019.
We would be happy if many of our German and Australian network members and students would seize this chance to meet like-minded network members and others. The ACIS will be an exciting way to bring a large cluster of our members together in a very unique and appealing environment, with lots of additional science in the rest of the programme to inspire further discussions and opportunities.
In addition we invite all Australians and Germans in Australia (whether participating in the ACIS or not) to our Networking Workshop in Melbourne the following week (11th – 15th February 2019).
