This year, the Bayreuth International Summer School was once again a great success!

For 14 days, seven interdisciplinary courses dealt with questions from selected, strategic research areas. Scientists from all over the world conveyed the topics from the central research fields of the University of Bayreuth.This year 135 students from 15 countries and 38 guest professors from 13 countries participated in BISS.

Thereof six network students (5 Australians and 1 German)  attended the two courses "Polymer and Science and Engineering" and "Polymer Science and Biofabrication" organized by our Bayreuth-Melbourne Colloid/Polymer Network. Due to a large workshop "Tissue Plug & Play" finally 13 Australian lecturers supported our two BISS courses his year.

The Bayreuth International Summer School is one of the most important projects for the internationalization of the University of Bayreuth. The special feature of BISS is the opportunity to initiate or deepen cooperation in research and teaching and to maintain or initiate international networks such as the Bayreuth-Melbourne Polymer/Colloid Network.

We hope there will also be a group of Australian network participants in the BISS 2020.
