COVID-19 INFLUENCE ON BISS 2020

After the summer semester at the University of Bayreuth has started completely digitally for the first time, due to Covid-19 this year, this will also apply to our annual Bayreuth International Summer School (BISS). Due to currant global travel restrictions, the Bayreuth International Summer School (BISS) scheduled for this July in Bayreuth has been postponed to 2021.
Please already save the date: 5 – 16 July 2021.
Then the Bayreuth International Summer School is celebrating its 10th year with a host of reowned international lecturers and a wide variety of interdisciplinary courses in Bayreuth.
This July we are launching the Bayreuth International Online Courses (BIOC) with a variety of interdisciplinary seminars and lectures. Detailed information will be available on the BISS-Website at the end of May.
But we already want to inform you today that there will be a BIOC-Course Biofabrication held from 6 – 9 July 2020, by a number of various lecturers of the University of Bayreuth supported by lecturers of our network partner institute, the University of Melbourne. The Lectures are held digitally, supported by live chats and discussions.
Detailed information will be available at the end of May.
Due to corona virus restrictions for class room teaching, the summer school course Polymer Science and Engineering will not take place in summer 2020.
