"Staying on the Track during the Pandemic - Ideas and Strategies from an International Network

Good start for our workshop series "Staying on the Track during the Pandemic - Ideas and Strategies from an International Network" today!

This workshop series is aimed primarily at PhDs who have been particularly affected by the constraints of the long months of the Corona Pandemic.

More than 40 participants attended the first session of our workshop series held by Dr. Desiree Dickerson, PhD: "Navigating Uncertainty during COVID Times".

Dr. Desiree Dickerson shared her knowledge and experience to make all participants feeling supported, inspired and ready to tackle academic and pandemic life a little bit better. This session was hosted by our Bayreuth-Melbourne Colloid/Polymer Network in collaboration with the University of Bayreuth Gateway Office in Melbourne.  

The further sessions of our workshop series will take place the following Wednesdays at 8 am CEST:

  • 12th May 2021 - Germany - hosted by the University of Bayreuth Graduate School:
    "Coping Strategies for COVID Challenges"
    presented by Dr. habil. Helmut Strobl and Dr. Philipp Laemmert, University of Bayreuth
  • 19th May 2021 - France - hosted by the University of Bayreuth Gateway Office Bordeaux:
    "Stuck in the Aractic: Coping Strategies and their Use during the Lockdown"
    Storytelling by Lydie Lescarmontier, PhD
  • 26th May 2021 - China - hosted by the University of Bayreuth Gateway office Shanghai:
    "Learning from an International Perspective"
    presented by Ms Yixin Qiu, University of Bayreuth and Mr. Xin Huang, PhD candidate, Central China Normal Uiversity

Interested PhDs can still register at any time via the eventbrite website. There you book a ticket for each workshop session individually.
